Ladies Who Brunch

{Skirt: Hollister Different Pattern on sale!} {Shoes: old Similar} {Shirt: Marshalls Similar}
{Necklace: Limited Almost Identical on sale!
{Purse: Betsey Johnson sold out online, but just got at Dillards on sale! Obsessed}

Being a working gal, I don't feel like I get to brunch as often as I would like (although my hubby may disagree ha!), but I was lucky enough this weekend to meet up with some friends in Columbus and eat brunch at Bodega.

I highly recommend if you are ever in the area--the mimosa's were to die for and their homemade sausage was like none I had ever had before!

When I do get the occasion to be one of those lucky "ladies that brunch", I have to dress the part. I picture "Real Housewives of Orange County" meets "Breakfast at Tiffany's". That may just be my own weird thought process (it wouldn't be the first time), but this midi skirt paired with a preppy button up was perfect, and I knotted the front just to keep it fresh!

Hope you all are having a fabulous week, don't forget to enter the Firmoo Giveaway before it ends!!

Summer of Travel

{Dress: c/o Francesca's not online Similar in black and white} {Shoes: old LOVE}

I had such an amazing weekend in Columbus! I got to spend lots of time with friends, laughed until I almost cried, and enjoyed BEAUTIFUL weather!

I am out of words though, my brain is mush, and I am so looking forward to crawling into bed. This has kind of been my "summer of travel", and I have been loving every minute of it!

Happy Friday Fashionistas!

What better way to celebrate then with a giveaway?!

Have you all heard of the online eyeglass store Firmoo?! I have worn their specs on the blog here before and they are seriously amazing! You can't beat the price and I was shocked that the quality was just as good as the pairs I normally get from my optometrist. Win/Win right there!

They are being kind enough to give a pair away to one of you! Make sure you see some of my favorite picks above (they even offer prescription sunnies!) and enter through the Rafflecopter below :)

Have a fabulous weekend!

It is not Always Black and White

 ]

{Shirt: J. Crew Very Similar} {Shoes: Express still saw on sale in store LOVE
{Rings: F21 Similar} {Earrings: old Obsessed} {Pants: NY&Co. Identical}

Trying to figure out what to wear to work can be a CHORE! For a fashion lover like myself, I am always trying to tow the line between professionalism, and rocking the trends I love.

Patterned pants are a great way to do this. They come in all kind of prints and colors. Plus, they can be dressed up for work or down for the weekend depending on what shirt and jewelry you choose to accompany them. Just make sure they fit right (not too tight ladies) and then rock the socks off you boss with your new sassy style!

How is everyone's week going?! I am finally starting to find a balance between my new job and blogging; it makes my heart happy! Giving up this little space of mine wasn't an option, but I didn't want it to be a source of stress either--you know?! It is all working out and I am LOVING my new position.

I also get to get out of town this weekend and head to Columbus--so pumped! Any blogging buddies in that area?!

Happy Hump Day

They See Me Rompin'

{Romper: Old Navy}{Earrings: J. Crew} {Shoes: old Similar on sale!}
{Clutch: Francesca's Similar} {Bracelets: Alex and Ani}{Sunnies: F21 Identical}

This summer has totally been "the summer of Old Navy" for me. I swear to goodness everytime I go to tag stuff in blog post--I am like opps, another thing from Old Navy!!

One of the reasons I have adored them this year can be summed up in one word--romper.

Yep, for a tall girl with a long torso, the word romper can bring fear and anxiety to mind--they just never seem to fit quite right.

But, through what I can only assume is a miracle, Old Navy got it right. The length of the shorts, the longer torso, and tied waist. It all just works. Needless to say, I may have bought multiple rompers from them--but, even if my wallet hates me, I would do it all again ha :)

Have a great Monday

Can't Go Wrong

{Dress: Old Navy} {Shoes: Jessica Simpson LOVE} {Sunnies: Free People on sale for $10!}
{Necklace: old Similar} {Bracelet: Express OBSESSED} {Rings: American Eagle}

I think every girl has those occasions where she wants to wear just the right thing--she would hate to be over dressed, but being casual would be just as bad.

Enter--the wrap dress. Literally the "can't go wrong" attire for almost anything!

First day of work- check. Interview- check. Bridal shower- check. Brunch- check.

The list could go on forever, plus, it can look good on ANY body shape. And, who doesn't love that?! Amen!

I wore this one to my first day of work, it is a little more laid back of a business casual atmosphere, so the fun print was also totally appropriate.

I have only been at my new job for two days, so maybe this is the euphoria talking, but I love it. The people are friendly, the commute hasn't been terrible, and the work is interesting AND challenging (which is surprisingly a great combination!).

You all have given me so much love and encouragement on this new journey--it has blown me away! And, all the tips on blogging and working full time (for a very busy position) have been AH-mazing!

Have a fabulous Wednesday

Unstuck--A Gossip Sesh

Well if you read my post on Monday, you know that life has been a little hectic to say the least. But, it has all been for a very good and exciting reason--this girl has decided to start a new job--and I begin on Monday.

It was a super hard, super stressful decision--one that I didn't take lightly. I am the queen of indecision and second guessing myself.

I am currently with a company I love and work with a great team of people, but my job wasn't challenging me and I wasn't able to move up in the direction I wanted. Also, I am realizing that being comfortable and being happy are two totally different things.

So, I am stepping out of my little bubble of comfort and trying something new. I will still be in the banking world, but on the mortgage end of it, and I could not be more thrilled to learn some different!

So what does this mean for my blog?! I have NO idea--my new job will most likely be more time consuming, and I am sure at the beginning will be energy draining. So bear with me as I learn to juggle it all!

This little spot is so special to me, and fashion is something I live for. Yes, clothes are just material items, but when you can put on an outfit and it makes you feel confident, creative, and sassy--there is some part about it that is just good for the soul.

So for a while my posts may be more sporadic, and I may not be as active in the blog-o-sphere--but, I will still be reading all your post and posting on IG like crazy I am sure --->>>Follow Me (shameless plug ha!).

I am taking Amanda's post to heart, and would love to hear any other suggestions all you other working bloggers have about balancing it all!

Diva Status

{Shirt: Express LOVE} {Pants: Old Navy} {Shoes: Wet Seal Identical only $5!}
{Sunnies: Aldo NEED} {Clutch: Francescas Similar}

Happy Monday Y'all!!

I had a four day weekend that was spent in NY having a blast with some of my besties and it is hard to get back into the swing of things!

I also apologize for my absense all last week--life has been crazy to say the least (come back Wednesday and I will be explaining it all then!).

So short and sweet today--Geno is the cutest dog ever, he is a total diva--and apparently, when we let him roam outside the fence (while his sissy has to stay in it because she is a runaway houdini that has escape the yard many times), he is too busy pretending he is king of the castle, and doesn't want to take any photos with his momma
