{Sunnies: Aldo}
So I love loud outfits-stacking jewelry upon jewelry, and bling upon bling! But sometimes its nice to be a little subtle and understated. Sometimes the outfit can look simple--but it's all in the details. That is totally the case with this little number. I love the neutral color combo--yet there are things that make it special.
This is one of my favorite cardi's from the Limited--the lace detail sets it apart.
The pants have a very subtle snakeskin pattern--hello so fun!!
I am totally wearing peacock feather for a necklace and the collar on the shirt has sparkly beads to make it pop!
I got to wear this to a friends surprise 30th Birthday--which was so awesome. It was a night filled with wine, Italian food, birthday cake, and some of my favorite people. When I was getting ready that night, I looked at my hubby and told him "I feel like I shop everyday but still have nothing to wear!". I swear it is times like that, times where I just throw things on in frustration, that some of my favorite looks come together. This outfit here was never meant to be--but it will so be worn again and again!
Does this happen to anyone else??
Have a most fabulous Tuesday and thanks for stopping by!

Love those pants and the peacock necklace! Peacock is my favorite! I feel the exact same way, I'll buy a bunch of new things then still feel like I have nothing to wear. It's a definite girl problem :) You definitely came up with a great outfit here!

At least I'm not the only one who feels that way! I shop ALL the time and some days I just stand there in my closet for 30 minutes expressing my disgust at my lack of clothes!
ReplyDeleteI totally am the same way! I don't have a thing to wear but my closet says otherwise!

You and your printed pants!! LOVE them!! Amazing details from head to toe :)
ReplyDeleteI love the details on the collar of your shirt! I totally feel your frustration, too. I feel like I have all these clothes and no way to wear them haha! I just need it to warm up so I can go tightless and switch up the shoes.

Such a cute look! Love the cardigan, and those pants are fabulous! This outfit has so many great details! And I totally am the same way about feeling like I never have anything to wear even though I have lots of clothes. It can be so challenging reworking your wardrobe! You did a fantastic job!

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely LOVE your choices in this "understated" look. You're so right, each of the pieces have a really fun detail...that's usually what draws me to things too. Plus the color scheme in general is SO flattering on you. Thanks for linking up to Manic Monday! So glad to have you. :)

Before I read what you wrote, I was thinking about how lovely all of the details are. Also, I know exactly what you mean about happening upon an outfit that was never meant to be. If only it worked that well every day. I pick my week's outfits over the weekend, which makes my life so much easier during the week. I don't like thinking in the morning because I'm a troll.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree with you! Details can do so much to an outfit! Love how you styled yours!

Yes - I love this subtle outfit mixed with little bits of jewelry and a neutral color palette! But it's great to be stripped like this sometimes! I still very much love this and the intricate details! Thank you for sharing this with Manic Monday! Hope to see you again next week!
