Happy Monday Fashionistas! How was your weekend?!

Mine was not nearly long enough--but what's new?! ha!

I wore this outfit to one of our friend's surprise 30th birthday--we are all getting old ha! But, it was such a fun night out with good food, good music, and good friends!

I need your help though my fellow bloggers and photogs--I need a better camera. Mine is a decent point and shoot--but its not DSLR! What suggestions do you have?! I am a TOTAL beginner, so I need something easy to learn on. And, I know they are expensive--but I would like to stay on the low end.

Anyone have any good advice?!
oxox,

  4. We have the Canon Rebel T3I. I've had it 7 months, and I'm STILL learning how to use it, ha! Sometimes I miss my old point and shoot. Your pictures always look so great, I always thought you had a professional camera! Have a great week!

  5. I have the Canon Rebel ( original one) purchased it used so not as crazy expensive as it could have been. I love it but it does not work with a wireless remote so i need to look at a new one ( soon) Tripod and remote are what are key so make sure what ever you get works with a wireless romote, makes life way easier.

  8. you look SO fabulous!! I have a canon rebel t3i or whatever, the slightly older body style that they don't make anymore (even though I bought it new. they like discontinued it for something fancier + more expensive) but I LOVE it. I carry it around everywhere. It's SUPER user friendly + there are probably four million blogs about how to get better at it. the "i" is really important if you're looking to get a remote (which I feel like is more necessary for fashion posts!!)

  9. 30 is not old -- stop it! Lol! I love the florals this time of year! It seems like T3i is the winner, but definitely try getting one used!

  10. What a perfect outfit for a party! I agree with Shannon, Check ebay because the pros are always upgrading and selling their old equipment. I got my DSLR from my brother-in-law that works in film. Happy Monday!

  12. Love the floral distressed denim combo! I have the basic Nikon D3100 (a couple years old), but I love it. It has held up well, and I've been able to get a nice lens for it.

  13. I wrote a whole post about this! http://bbritnell.com/2014/10/dslr-buying-guide-beginners/
I suggest an entry level DSLR live the Canon Rebel T3i with a 50mm 1.8 lens to start out with.

  16. I have a Cannon T3I and we love it. I think the investment needs to be in a good lens. I love that gorgeous top and your distressed denim!

  17. So cute! Love that top. I have a Nikon… I think it is a d3000 or 3100.. something like that. I have had it for probably 5 years and I love it. It takes great pictures, but it is pretty user friendly too. I don't have any fancy lenses for it, but I would love to learn more about that kind of thing some day.

  18. Seriously though.....why are weekends so short lol?! Love the floral top Tori! I have the Canon 60D with the 50 mm lens (I think) and I've been happy with it so far. As one of the bloggers said below, invest on the lens....that's what is going to give you the best picture. Good luck on your quest to finding the right camera! :) Rita @ www.CoastWithMe.com

  21. That shirt is so pretty and flowy for spring! I love it paired with the ripped jeans to grunge it up a bit! I use a Canon T3i, with a 50 mm lens for my blog photos - it's really the lens that makes the biggest difference. I got a great deal on bundle that included the 50 mm, a tripod and remote - I'd highly recommend it if you can still find it!
