Mixing It Up

{Watch: c/o Daniel Wellington}{Cardi: Loft} {Sweater: old Similar} {Jeans: A&F}
{Shoes: Payless} {Scarf: thrifted Similar} {Sunnies: F21}

Happy Thanksgiving Eve Y'all!! Is anyone else ready to stuff there face with a bunch of turkey--or in my case, the stuffing?! (I am team carbs all that way ha!)

I am going to leave with you a fun pattern mixing look that anyone can pull off. Stripes and Leopard is were it's at. It's an easy combo, but perfectly on trend for this season.

I am also wearing this fabulous and classic watch from Daniel Wellington's Collection. I am obsessed with the rose gold detail of it. If there is one piece of jewelry I like to spend a little more money on, it is a good watch, and the quality of these pieces makes them worth it! Visit Daniel Wellington or check them out on IG @danielwellingtonwatches and get 15% any product until December 31st using the code holiday_fashionblingandothergirlythings. Any of these watches would make fantastic Christmas presents :)
Have a marvelous Thanksgiving!

Winter Grey

{Sweater: Old Navy} {Shirt: Old Navy in light grey} {Jeans: Buckle}
{Headband: Maurices} {Shoes: Thrifted Similar} {Sunnies: F21}

Happy Monday Fashionistas!! Did you all have a good weekend?! Mine was really nice--did some going out, some relaxing, and a lot of puppy snugglin' :)

This comfy look has been a go to for me this year already. I think I have worn this sweater about 4 times already ha! Getting my moneys worth that is for sure :) It is so easy to layer over long sleeves--and today I kept it simple, but wearing a lighter grey shirt underneath. It's a monochromatic color scheme that really makes a statement!

Anyone else into grey's this year?!

The Winter Dress and O, Hey Girl Link-Up

I am so excited you all to be pairing up with two fabulous ladies from Pumps and Push-Ups. Erika and Brooke are just fantastic and I have loved following their blog and seeing not only their fashion sense (which is amazing), but also their fitness and nutrition knowledge! They have really motivated me to get my booty in shape this year! They were also so kind as to ask me to co-host their link-up O, Hey Girl! Make sure you join the party :)

{Dress: Limited Almost Identical} {Fur Vest: Thrifted SaveSpendSplurge} {Boots: old love}
{Clutch: c/o Edith Marie Jewelry} {Aldo: Aldo} {Ring: F21}

I chose to style my winter dress with this years hot trend--the fur vest. This fit and flare dress from the Limited is so simple, but put it on with OTK boots, fur, and a sequined clutch and you have a really sassy ensemble that is perfect for a holiday party! P.s. I am beyond obsessed with this Clutch from Edith Marie Jewelry--it comes in four colors and is a gorgeous addition to any look! Now, make sure you head over to Pumps and Push-Ups to see how the beautiful Erika and Brooke styled their dresses :)

That Time my Coffee Cup Matched My Outfit

{Sweater: Charlotte Russe (last season) Similar HereHere, and Here} {Jeans: American Eagle}
{Shirt: Charlotte Russe identical} {Ring: F21} {Boots: old Similar} {Necklace: Groopdealz}

First off, I just want to thank you ladies so much--you all were so encouraging and supportive after I had a really rough week last week! Seriously, this blogging community is so amazing and I am so thankful for each and everyone of you who takes time out of your day to visit.

Things have gotten much better--after a mental health day, a good cry, and some wine--I am feeling like myself again! We had an offer accepted on a house!!! Yay! Wahoo! Holler!--not that I am excited or anything (HUGE sarcasm). So now we are just praying all the inspections etc. go smoothly :)

Today we take Geno to a specialist to see if they can help him with his arthritis and we are praying surgery isn't needed. I hate seeing him in pain anymore though--so we want to do whatever it takes to get him back to feeling good!

Did you all have a good weekend?! Who got snow?!

Hint: We did
Happy Monday

Not Reinventing The Wheel

{Button-Down: Old Navy} {Vest: Old Navy} {Pants: Old Navy}
{Booties: Target} {Cuff: @ShopBLovely} {Necklace: Edith Marie Jewelry on sale)

Hi, My name is Tori--remember me? I have felt so MIA from the blogging world this week and it sucks! But, sometimes life just gets in the way! Our home buying situation has gotten complicated, my pug is really suffering with his arthritis, and to top it off--I washed my IPhone last night with my comforter (ending to that story...fried).

But, today is a new day and God is faithful to see me through it all! My old Droid is working for now, so that is a blessing. We got more worked out with the housing yesterday. And now I can focus on getting Geno better! Anyone have dogs with arthritis that have any suggestions on how to help when they have a BAD flare up?! (he is already on medicine)

All that to say--when it comes to trends, you don't always have to reinvent the wheel to rock them! Buffalo plaid has been huge this year. But, I don't have time to think about some super cool way to style it--I want it to be easy. What could be more easy than throwing the plaid on with some black pants, a vest, and booties?! Out the door in five minutes and no precious brain cells wasted (trust me--I need all the ones I have left right now ha!)

Getting Graphic and a Nordstom Giveaway!!

{Graphic Tee: Old Navy Love} {Leather-Trimmed Sweater: F21 longer version}
{Boots: Target} {Jeans: American Eagle} {Necklace: old love} {Sunnies: F21}

It was all about the graphic tee this summer--everyone was selling them from J. Crew to Target! There are many ways you can transition them into the fall and winter months.
  1. Throw a cardi (like seen above) over it and snaz it all up with some jewelry.
  2. Dress it up and throw it on with a blazer.
  3. Layer it over a button down collared shirt.
  4. Give it a boho vibe by wearing it under a long sleeve kimono.
Moral of the story is--keep wearing those graphic tees--it's a trend that isn't going out of style anytime soon!

I am super excited to be teaming up with Shannon of Upbeat Soles and 25 other amazing bloggers to give away a $400 Nordstrom gift card to help celebrate Shannon's birthday and one year blogiversary! How amazing would it be to win a $400 gift card right before the Holidays?! All you have to do is fill out the Rafflecopter below, remember the more entries you make the better chance you have to win! This is an international giveaway so everyone can enter! The giveaway will be open until midnight November 19th. Good luck everyone!

Day Dreaming

 I know I have been mentioning our house hunting journey for a few weeks on here, and as of Tuesday--our current home went on the market! Only by God's blessing, we already got an offer. I am not sure if it will all work out or if they will accept the offer on the house we want, but I can't stop day dreaming of how I want to decorate when we do move.

Now, once we move the decorating will be a SLOW process as we plan on using what we already own for now. But, hey a girl can wish right?!

So since all things house related are on the brain, I thought I would share a few of my favorite ideas with you ladies!

{All Images Via my Pinterest Board}

I will keep you all updated on the housing situation. All your well wishes have meant so much, during a stressful, but fun time!

Have a great weekend Fashionistas

Dream Chasers: Rachael Ryen Jewelry + Giveaway

So excited for November's Edition of Dream Chasers--my monthly series featuring small businesses that are chasing their passion and making their dreams a reality!

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Rachael Ryen Jewelry. Rachael is seriously a sweetheart and her pieces are nothing short of stunning! She uses high quality material and prides herself on craftsmanship. I really wanted to work with her, because I love that her jewels are classic pieces, but not so expensive that you can't afford it, or only wear it on special occasions.

The ring she sent me hasn't left my finger for days (no green marks in sight!) and the gold material she used totally shines! The gemstone itself is so unique and like nothing I have worn before. Check out below as she shares her story.

{Ring: c/o Rachael Ryen Jewelry}{Sweater: Charlotte Russe (not online) cardi version}
{Pants: Limited Similar (on sale!)} {Necklace: Edith Marie} {Shoes: Target}

Tell me about your business and why you choose to get into this field of work?

  • I’m the founder and designer of Rachael Ryen Jewelry. With my line I focus on creating understated, but beautiful jewelry using high quality metals and genuine stones. My pieces are often smaller and more delicate, though I do have a few statement pieces in the collection. As for how I chose this career, I really fell into jewelry as somewhat of an accident. I worked in the corporate world for 13 years and started making jewelry on the side. My entire family is creative, so I figured it was a matter of time until I found my outlet, but I never imagined I’d be fortunate enough to make a career out of my passion.

Is this your full time job or do you have 9-5?

  • Last year I moved to Boston with my now fiancĂ© and at that time I decided to give up my corporate career and give jewelry a shot full time. It’s been a lot of work, but the line is finally getting a lot of attention which is a wonderful feeling.

3.What is the most rewarding part of owning your own business?

  • My customers and the notes I get from them telling me how much they love their new piece. It means the world to me when someone takes the time to send a few thoughtful words and kind feedback. I especially love receiving pictures from brides of them in their jewelry on such a special day!
What are some challenges you have faced?

  • Limited time and resources. I think these are the most common problems that all business owners face when starting out. I thought when I moved to jewelry full time that I’d have plenty of time to get everything done. The reality is there is more to running a business than anyone person can do in a single day.

What advice would you give someone looking to start their own business?

  • Take action and do it. Know that it won’t be easy (if it was, everyone would do it), but it will be worth it.
What is your favorite item in your shop?

  •  It’s so hard to choose just one item. I have a thing for baguettes and trillion shapes, so my two favorites currently are the 5 stone baguette necklace and the trillion pave stud earrings.
So I wasn't lying when I said she was amazing right?! Enter the Giveaway below :)
