Ending Summer on a High Note

You all--today is such a fun post! I get to team up with Marianne from Good Girl Gone Glam to bring you our take on the high-waisted shorts trend! This girl really does make everyday outfits--totally GLAM!! Her blog has brought me so much inspiration in the way I accessorize--and bonus, she is seriously one the sweetest bloggers I have met!

My take is a very laid back vibe--I love them paired with the muted color top and sparkly shoes. These shorts are super comfortable for being high-waisted (which an be a feat in an of itself, if you know what I mean ha!) The one thing I will say is--size up!! They tend to run tight and if you have a booty like me--you need a little extra wiggle room. I love this trend and totally plan on taking it into fall with some high-waisted jeans!!

Thank you all so much for all the Birthday love on Friday! I had a beyond amazing weekend :) And in case you were curious--hubs totally knocked the present out of the park!!! Michael Kors Watch---I died--I didn't know he even know who Michael Kors was hehe! That man is full of surprises.

Simplifying 27

This weekend is a big one for me-- the BIG 2-7 that is! As I head into my late twenties I can't believe where I have been, am learning to love where I am at, and am so excited for what lies ahead.

I thought this whole outfit kinda signifies what I want my 27th year of life to look like. 

Simple

Here are a list of a few goals:

• Enjoy just being in the moment (not worried about laundry or work that still needs done)
• Learn to say no to things that don't grow me
• Learn to say yes to new adventures and step out of my comfort zone
• Allow God to lead the way--let go my false sense of control
• Accept that more is not always better and strive to live with less
• Serve others with an open heart and try to be a blessing
• Love with vulnerability and whole heartily

I have lived my life always looking ahead to the next big thing--all while wearing myself out along the way. For a high strung perfectionist--this stuff doesn't come easy. But doggone it--I am going to do my best :)

Throwin Up Shade

I have this little problem you all--I cannot buy expensive sunnies because my butt is literally notorious for smashing them! I have sat on I think 3 pairs just this summer ha! Tori's Butt- 3 Sunnies- 0.

Neon and Druzy does Cleveland

Have I told you all how much I love Cleveland?! It is such an awesome city--filled with great scenery, amazing eats, the cutest boutiques, o and my best friend lives there! I am going to pretend the Browns don't play in the city--because this girl is a Steelers fan (born in Pittsburgh--it's in my blood). But, besides that small fact--it is perfect :) I got to go up this weekend and do some shopping, junk food eating, and have a Sex and the City Marathon with my girl. We are headed to NYC over Labor Day and needed some fashion inspiration!

I need suggestions of where to go and what to see while we are in New York City!? Can you all help me out? :)

Suburbia

I wouldn't say I live in a super small town, but the way I would describe it is Suburbia. It is super safe, super clean, not a whole ton of culture. It is a great place to raise a family! We are lucky because we have some huge cities close by, like Cleveland and Columbus that we can visit when we need a dose of good shopping and great eats. 

Our town does have one claim to fame-- we are home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. So for the past two weeks we have had a ton of cool events like a Hot Air balloon lift off, Hall of Fame Fashion show, and Ribs Burn-off. It all ended last night with the big Hall of Fame Induction and Football game! 

We participated in a lot of the events and had a huge flag football game and cookout at our place last night :) All the boys are pumped because they feel like football season is officially underway now! 

Did any of you all watch the game or induction?!
