Be Bold

{Dress: F21 on sale for $10!} {Shoes: Born Similar} {Sunnies: F21}
{Cuff: Body Central Similar} {Earrings: Limited Similar}
I love when you can wear one piece of clothing and really let it be the statement of your whole look. The pattern on this dress is bold and speaks for itself--loud accessories or crazy sunglasses are not needed. Small earrings, matching shoes, and a bracelet, easily complete this look. I literally threw this on in five to go meet my hubs for a last minute dinner.
I truly feel these are the best type of outfits for the summer months!
Hope you are all having a great week, I think I have finally caught up on my sleep from staying up late in Columbus this weekend. #oldladyprobz We had so much fun though--we shopped til we dropped, made candles at The Candle Lab, ate soo much great food and got to celebrate one of my besties birthdays! Can't get much better than that.

Learning Curve

{Shirt: Old Navy} {Shorts: Old Navy} {Necklace: NY&Co. LOVE
{Shoes: Jessica Simpson Similar} {Watch: Charming Charlies} {Purse: gifted obsessed}
I am so excited y'all--I FINALLY (after 2 years of blogging) got myself a DSLR. You guys gave me some FABULOUS advice when I asked which ones you liked best! I went with the Nikon D3100--and LOVE it (I scored it for a steal on Ebay). I am still learning how to use it--aka I have NO idea what I am doing lol.
Plus, I am a ding dong and of course forgot to check if this was wireless remote compatible--and it is not, whomp whomp. Because I take most of my pictures on a tri-pod I am having trouble focusing without one--any suggestions?!
Any other suggestions on the Nikon D3100 and how to best use it? What settings do you use the most for blogging? I am trying to figure out how to blur the background--but obvi that didn't work quite yet :)
Thank you all again for your amazing advice!

The Top Knot Life

{Dress: American Eagle 50% off the sale price!} {Shoes: Express Similar} {Sunnies: Free People}
{Purse: Steve Madden Similar} {Bracelet: J. Crew Factory}

Am I the only one who has been all about that Top Knot Life lately?!
I hate doing my hair when it's hot out--and this is my go to style, so get used to seeing it a lot ha!
I was cleaning on Sunday when the hubs told me we were going to his sisters for dinner with the family (advance planning his not his strong suit ha!), and needless to say I looked a wreck and needed to change that real quick!
So out came the top knot, and on went this easy swing dress (which I bought because Pamela made it look so stinkin cute!). This is a look that takes no time to put together. So after I put on extra deodorant (sorry TMI) and some quick make-up, I was only a few minutes late to the party.
Spending time with the ones I love on gorgeous summer nights are one of the best things in the world!

Forever Young

{Overalls: Hollister} {Shoes: J. Crew} {Mug: Kate Spade}
{Necklace: NY&Co. love/similar} {Bracelets: Alex and Ani} {Sunnies: Aldo Similar}
Anyone have an item of clothing that they couldn't get enough of as a child?!
For me, that item was overalls!! My favorite was a velvet purple pair (yes, velvet people, it was very trendy ha!) and I swear I wore them at least twice a week in elementary school!
I was leary of the trend when it came back, but I am sold--hook, line, and sinker! I can't stop, won't stop.
Now I am on the hunt for a good pair of short overalls--anyone have any suggestions?!

Comfortably Stylish

{Tunic: H&M sold out online Splurge/Save} {Leggings: @Shopblovely} {Headband: Francescas
{Shoes: Jessica Simpson Similar on sale!} {Necklace: J. Crew Wish List!!}

There is just something about wearing leggings and a tee that makes me feel so relaxed and comfy. But, that doesn't mean it has to be frumpy!!
I LOVE this t-shirt tunic from H&M, the bold color and pattern gives it pizzazz (why do I feel like I am so old when I say that?! #closinginon30). I wore it with plain leggings, but that, paired with cute shoes and a statement necklace makes all the difference.
I would totally rock this outfit running to the grocery store, or out to a dinner with friends! Outfits that can be rocked on many occasions and make you feel good are a win/win in my book.
Plus, I can totally smash as many pieces of pizza in this outfit and no one will be the wiser ha!

I Believe in Pink

I am so happy to be back after a FABULOUS vacation!! I had such a great time (aka--soaked up the sun, ate way to much food, and danced my booty off) and have so much to tell you--but that will all be coming in a post later this week :)

It is going to be rough getting back into the work swing today--but then again, what Monday isn't?!

{Dress: c/o Sheinside} {Bracelet: c/o Rocksbox} {Shoes: Nordstrom Rack}
{Earrings: Old Navy Obsessed}{Clutch: c/o Edith Marie Jewelry on sale!}

I thought I would start the week off with a bang and show you all this AH-mazing dress from Sheinside. Literally, the most comfortable "dressy" dress I have ever worn, and it just flows in the wind. The color is way better in person--the prettiest soft pink and the gold accent neckline is so unique!

I plan on wearing this to my cousins wedding at the end of June--I just need to get it hemmed. So, be careful if you buy it that you know it is long, because I am super tall and it hit the floor!

It is good to be back to my little blogging community--thank you again so much for showing all my fabulous guest bloggers some love--they are some of my favorite ladies!!
