Omgsh I can't believe how fast this holiday season has flown by!! I took the week off to enjoy it with my family and friends, but man I really missed the blogging world!

Did you all have a great Christmas--outfits all picked out for New Years?? I had a crazy holiday--very nontraditional--but very special!! I will be posting holiday pictures and stories later this week!

I had to get in one last trend before the year turned! I decided to brave a pair of leather leggings! They are all over the fashion world this year and I go ga-ga over them everytime I see someone wearing them. But this girl has got some junk in the trunk and just wasn't quite sure I could pull it off.

I am making 2014 all about taking chances and staying true to myself--so I figured since I liked them--they were coming home with me!! I LOVE them (that is love--in all caps!). I wore them with a longer sweater to make them a little more modest and cover up the behind just a tad :). Pair that with a chunky necklace and a top-knot and it felt funky, yet sophisticated! This outfit, and the leggings, will for sure be repeated a lot this year!

Influenster- Duckling Mini Rolls Project

Hey all!
I was so excited to receive my first VoxBox in the mail yesterday!! The one for the Christmas Season is called the Jolly VoxBox--they had me hooked right at the name :). These boxes are given by Influenster and have a bunch of products to try, review, and discover!

Well as soon as I opened this one I was beyond thrilled to see it came with some Duckling Mini Rolls duck tape!! I am a huge fan of duck tape and all it's many uses! I have never used this specific brand though, so I am pumped to try it out.

I have a project that I do with duck tape for when I am throwing any type of get together. You can see how I did it for the Hub's 30th bday HERE. So I am going to show you the step below to complete this super simple project--it is me here we are talking about guys--DIY is not really my thing.

1. Get any type of water bottles you desire and make sure they are at room temperature and dry. Condensation can mess with the tapes ability to stick to the bottle properly.

2. Take your duck tape, in this case I am using Ducklings Mini Rolls, and just start wrapping it around the area that has the label on it.

3. Voila!! Fancy water bottles that can be themed to fit your next soiree!

Review:

I love this duck tape! It was more sticky than the generic brand I usually buy, so it stuck better to the water bottles. It also comes in so many awesome patterns, you could literally make it to go with any theme you can think of!

Would I Buy it again?

I would buy it again in a heart beat! The price is great and it was easy to work with and had a great end result!

Next week I will be trying out some of the make-up from the Jolly VoxBox and I will let you all know how I like it :).

Holiday Office Attire

If I haven't told you already (hint hint: I am aware I am beating a dead horse here ha), it is winter here in Ohio and that means snow...lots of it!! It can be really hard to dress warm enough for the weather, appropriate for the office, and still feel cute at the same time!

I love this look because not only does it keep me warm, but it is festive with the green blazer and the red lips!

These boots were a steal at Wet Seal (I have already worn them about 5 times in a week ha) and they are totally water-proof so far! No melted snow leaking in and making my toes freeze!! 

Am I the only person who hates long dress pants in the winter?? I have been trying to purchase the ankle length ones because they are more in style and they don't drag, but I still have a few pair of boot-cut ones! It is the worst when its wet out and they get soaked on the bottom! 

This is why a skirt with tights, fitted blazer, and boots is such an awesome option for the office. It is very appropriate, warm, and in my very humble opinion:)-- Adorable!

My poor little pug!

Did you ever have one of those days where you are to exhausted to write anything?? This is one of them. My poor little Gemma was sick for a few days, she is finally perking up and feeling better. However, her mommy--an over anxious woman--is wiped out!!

My husband laughs that I worry so much about our dogs--and it might be silly, but they are like my babies! Can I get an AMEN from any dog lovers out there?? 

So I am just going to leave you with a few outfit photos! Sorry for the poor quality, but I just snapped a few on my phone while I had that chance. I mean it really has been one of those weeks :)

Have a wonderful week everyone! I will be spending mine in Amish country celebrating Christmas with the hubby's side of the family. I will be much more relaxed and ready to tackle this blog when I return.

Tis the Season to be Fancy

This dress was a STEAL!! O.M.G. as soon as I saw it only sale at The Limited I knew it was coming home to live in my closet! (p.s. it is still on sale..hurry up before they are gone!) It is a beautiful fall/winter color palette that has the most beautiful water-painted flowers flowing through out the pattern. It is a fit-and-flare style which I love--thanks mom for my big hips :)--so it is very flattering!

I wore this to my work Christmas Party and had a blast!! I threw the blazer over it to be a little more work-appropriate while I was the the office that day!

I planned to take the blazer off at the party, but literally I think Winter started the moment we got there. The temperature had dropped about 15 degrees by the time we left! 

I wish I had some crazy wild "office-party story" that you always see happen on t.v., but alas, no such luck. (Even with an open bar!) In fact, it was pretty calm. I don't know if any of you readers watch "The Mindy Project", but I was really hoping for someone to break out in a rendition of Santa Baby like they did on the show! 

Well, there is always next year!

Anyone have any office stories I should hear about?? Maybe I can live vicariously through you :).

The one time I wore the wrong pants!

OK, here is the deal--Brent surprised me with a date night by taking me to a brand new restaurant in town on Friday night. I was HANGRY (hungry/angry--not a good combo) so I wanted to get ready really fast so we could get out the door and go get our grub on!

Well, I just happen to be a person that if I like an article of clothing, sometimes I will buy it in multiple colors. This was the case with these jeggings. Well I wore these out that night, snapped some outfit photos, etc. and all the while feeling great.

Jump to Saturday morning, when I am going to throw my pants in the wash. I had accidentally worn my navy blue pair instead of the black ones!! I had been mismatched all night and didn't even notice! Ahh I am officially getting old and losing my eyesight apparently! 

So please forgive these pictures and pretend that the pants I have on are black and not navy will you?? You all are the best :)
